The four-step flow inside the app
- Step 1 — Photo or prompt: the user uploads a room photo or types a short description
- Step 2 — Style: the user picks a design direction such as Japandi, modern, or boho
- Step 3 — Generation: the AI produces a new image of the same room in the chosen style
- Step 4 — Iterate: the user generates more variations and saves favorites
What the AI model is doing
A generative model is a neural network trained on a very large set of images. When you give it a photo and a style prompt, it predicts what an image of the same room would look like in that style. It tries to keep the structural elements consistent with the input so the result is believable.
What affects the quality of the result
- How clear and well-lit the input photo is
- How specific the style choice is
- How realistic the requested style is for the room type
- How many variations the user generates before picking one
What AI interior design is not
AI interior design is not a 3D rendering pipeline, and it is not a floor planner. It does not measure your space, calculate furniture dimensions, or produce technical drawings. It is a visual inspiration tool.
How DecorAI uses this flow
DecorAI runs the same kind of generative flow inside an app on iOS, Android, and web. Users open the app, upload a photo, pick a style, and DecorAI generates AI room makeover, interior, exterior, and garden design ideas they can save and compare.
